Sony showed the first complete trailer for Death Stranding Director’s Cut during today’s state of play Livestream.
This is the first complete trailer for the game, which introduces the Buddy Bot and features a racing mode. Sony also discussed the release date and declared that pre-orders are presently available. You can watch the trailer right here.
The teaser released today indicates that the Director’s Cut will include new boss encounters and gameplay systems, as well as accessories such as an ambulatory Buddy Bot and new weaponry. It was June’s Summer Fest launch webcast when the game was initially unveiled. Improved transit choices, a racing feature, new campaign tasks, and a shooting range will also be included.
Well, these are the first solid facts about what it will entail. The game is often cinematic to a fault. It’s also tedious but beautiful. The game is a futuristic, expensive, strange adventure about isolation, death, and social connection, which, oddly enough, makes a director’s cut feel like the next logical step.
An expanded edition of 2019’s Kojima Productions sci-fi action game Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be released on September 24th for PlayStation 5.
