DayZ seems to have plenty in waiting for 2022, and it all starts with today’s new update 1.16.
Bohemia Interactive, the company behind publishing and developing DayZ has revealed its overall plans for the game in 2022. Their plan includes a total of five updates, seasonal events, and several new improvements to terrains, weapons, asset creation, and other features.
Developer’s DayZ 2022 plans were previously published on the game’s official website, and following its trail, the latest updates from the developer add the Bizon, an AK-based .380 submachine gun with an extra-large magazine, and the alarm clock, which enables you to check the time in-game and set an alarm for a specified time to frighten your opponents or entice the infected.
Bohemia Interactive has remained committed to supporting DayZ until 2022 and providing frequent updates with a balanced mix of patches and additional content. They want to release five upgrades, ranging from small to large. Each of them should have at least one weapon, and, unlike last year, the emphasis will be on civilian armaments. The plans include:
- Focus on improving official terrains, particularly the DLC map Livonia
- Improvements to vehicle stability
- Enriched seasonal events
- Expanding DayZ lore
- Adding more civilian firearms
- Ramping up asset production
- More customization to control scheme on controllers
- Check out the new DayZ trailer for information regarding the latest update.
All of these upgrades will be made in collaboration with the game’s partners and community in an attempt to uphold the game’s stability and reliability. This involves making certain that previous generations of hardware do not fall behind.
Bohemia Interactive begins the year by releasing Update 1.16 on all platforms. The update does include a new firearm, but more significantly, it includes a slew of repairs and tweaks targeted at resolving various stability and gameplay concerns. This allows devs to tidy up the game and lays the groundwork for exciting upgrades in the future, which is excellent news for Survivors worldwide.
Released in December 2013, DayZ is currently available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
