As the release date of the Phantom Liberty expansion draws closer and closer, CD Projekt RED has released Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0.
In preparation for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, developer CD Projekt RED has released Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077. This latest update will be launching on platforms such as PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, the update will include numerous tweaks and improvements to the game as well as general stability improvements. These changes are so extensive that the developer is encouraging players to start the game over once more to experience the full game in this new and improved state.
To say that Cyberpunk 2077 has come far is a major understatement, when the game first released, it was in a state of near unplayability with multiple bugs and glitches. The game was rated one of the worst video game releases in history. However, this has changed drastically –
After its disastrous release, the game received multiple updates and patches that tried to bring the game to a state that the developers had promised and now, with the release of Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion right around the corner. It would seem that players who stuck around are finally getting rewarded.
As for what is included in Update 2.0, the free update will include an improved police system and increased chase sequences, and there will also be passive NCPD officers across the city. There is now vehicle combat, as well as many changes made to the game’s combat and netrunning. There have also been considerable changes made to perk trees, which will have more impactful perks but fewer perks available, and 5 new perk trees such as, Headhunter, Netrunner, Shinobi, Solo, and Engineer.
It should also be noted that with all the changes made to the game, CDPR have also mentioned that the system requirements for the game have also been changed to accommodate Update 2.0, it is highly recommended that players double-check their specs before installing the update.
