There is almost a significant 50% price reduction on the Shark X from Cooler Master.
Great news for those who love to decorate their PCs in Japan. Cooler Master’s pre-built PCs were previously priced at $7,000, but the company is now selling its leftover Shark X cases in Japan for $4,300 each.
Cooler Master debuted its pre-built Shark X PC at CES 2023 and exhibited it again at CES 2024, where the Shark X case made its debut. The design of the case was influenced by Inony’s Leviathan mod, which prevailed in the 2019 Cooler Master Case Mod World Series. A Shark X PC with an RTX 4070 Ti Super and Core i7-14700F cost an outrageous $7,000 when it was released not so long ago by Cooler Master.
A rare and unique mini-ITX gaming case, the Shark X mimics the shape of a shark in appearance. The case is positioned vertically from its tail, the Shark rests on an RGB hexagonal base; the case dimensions are 790 x 908 x 894 mm. The Shark’s body is painted with white covers, while red, green, and blue lights illuminate every inch of it.
The lights begin at the tail and work their way up, and the fins on either side have two rings of lights. With space for a mini-ITX motherboard, the primary system components are located beneath the jaw area. The primary components of the case’s cooling system, including an air-to-liquid cooler and a separate graphics card, are housed at the top of the chassis, near the top shark fin.
In Japan, Cooler Master has separated the case from its Shark X pre-built gaming PC and is selling it separately. Cooler Master announced this case launch, pricing 658,000 yen (tax included), or around $4,300, at the PC parts store and other locations.
With any luck, Cooler Master’s Shark X case will cost less than $7,000. Nevertheless, it remains significantly more expensive than the $4,200 standard casing. It is not yet known whether the Shark X case will be sold in markets other than Japan.
