Alongside CD Projekt Red has shared their plans concerning the future of the Cyberpunk franchise
CD Projekt Red has published a new financial report. All the nitty-gritty in our material:
- One of the main priorities was to further improve Cyberpunk 2077. Over the past year, eight updates have been released, which significantly improved gameplay performance;
- Another important milestone was the release of the game’s version for the current generation consoles in February;
- The company managed to sell 18 million copies of the action;
- Add-on for Cyberpunk 2077 will be officially released in 2023;
- As noted by managers, at the moment, the team’s efforts are also focused on expanding the game’s storylines;
- CD Projekt RED focuses on workplace comfort, well-being, and personal growth for the team;
- The company intends to expand its new teams; The Molasses Flood, based in Boston, and Digital Scapes;
- CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS, an anime series available on Netflix, will be released in the second half of 2022;
- In 2021, CD PROJEKT Group’s revenues exceeded 888 million Polish zlotys ($207,000);
- Consolidated net profit for the period amounted to 209 million PLN ($49 thousand);
- The company paid the highest dividends ever, amounting to over 500 million Polish zlotys ($116.5 thousand);
- Over the past 15 years, gamers have purchased over 65 million copies of The Witcher trilogy games, including over 40 million copies of The Witcher 3.
In addition to the add-on for “Cyberpunk”, now the company is working on a new game in the “Witcher” universe, a portable version of The Witcher 3 for PS5 and Xbox Series, a single-player mode “Gwent” and not only, but also on several unannounced projects – one of them in their own franchise.
