CD Projekt and FutureGames Warsaw have joined forces to advance the education of those working in the video game industry.
CD Projekt, the parent organization of CD Projekt RED, has announced that they will be forming a partnership with FutureGames Warsaw, the Polish branch of one of the world’s best Rookies-certified game development schools. This partnership aims to promote, aid, and work collectively to widen access to education in various segments of the video game industry.
FutureGames is a game development academy that was founded in Sweden. The academy provides various educational opportunities at various levels, from intensive, full-time programs for aspiring game developers who are just beginning their careers to shorter, more specialized courses geared for seasoned professionals. Courses in game programming, game design, and game art will be taught in the new FutureGames location in Warsaw, which has been made possible with sponsorship from CD Projekt.
Lessons will be given on-site in Warsaw, and they will be given in English. They are open to anyone who is an EU citizen or holds a valid student visa. The first classes will begin in September, and attendees of FutureGames Warsaw will have the opportunity to develop a total of four games during their time there. These games will be created utilizing the professional-grade game development tools and hardware that will be provided to them, and their developers will keep full ownership of the games they develop.
As a result of CD Projekt’s participation, FutureGames Warsaw will be in a position during the first year of their cooperation to provide all students with a tuition fee reduction of fifty percent (50%). In the second year of the relationship, the firm will also give FutureGames scholarships to up to nine of the students who demonstrate the greatest levels of academic achievement.
In addition, the company will provide course participants with the opportunity to complete internships at CD Projekt RED, the development studio responsible for The Witcher series of games and Cyberpunk 2077. The enrollment process is still open, and applications are being accepted from Futuregames’ official website by anyone who is interested.
FutureGames, a company that has been in business for nearly 25 years, has been continuously regarded as one of the best educational service providers for the video game industry worldwide. CD Projekt is just one of the many studios that are collaborating with FutureGames. Other involved studios include Avalanche Studios, King, Ubisoft, EA DICE, Starbreeze Studios, Epic Games, Hazelight, and many more.
