Head of Xbox Phil Spencer Confirms Call of Duty Will Remain on PlayStation
This has been a huge week for Microsoft, as well as Xbox and Call of Duty gamers. By now, every gamer should know that Microsoft now owns Activision Blizzard. Think of all the big games that now legally belong to Xbox. Call of Duty is one of them.
But since then, everyone has been wondering if Call of Duty will be an Xbox exclusive. If you are a PlayStation gamer, this can be worrying, as Xbox now has the power to do so.
Fortunately, the answer is no. Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed this on his official Twitter page. He assured that he “Had good calls this week with leaders at Sony. I confirmed our intent to honor all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation.
Sony is a very important part of our industry, and we value our relationship.” This is a great thing that Xbox has done. Check out our Call of Duty: Vanguard PlayStation 5 Review.
