A number of credible industry experts may not reveal the next ticket to calls of duties for quite some time.
With the flagrant new titles of yesterday’s Future of Gaming, many were surprised that the most current Call of Duty has ever been an overwhelming focus. Two major insiders in the business apparently discovered why, precisely during the PlayStation exhibition, Call of Duty took a rear seat, with the general agreement that the game would not appear at any point in the future.
The rumors start with Jason Schreier of Bloomberg and Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips, both of whom popular Twitter writers say the announcement of the game was still far away. Jason Schreier said, “Fresh COD is still not being published. The last time I heard of it was from a fan who asked why Call of Duty did not make the slice for PlayStation 5.
Tom Phillips, then again, discussed it with a fan before the communication who wondered whether it would be there, to which the columnist expressed, “No, somewhat way off—perhaps farther than some anticipate.”
Both these tweets appear to line up with various reports that proposed the establishment would break its long-standing convention of reporting a spin-off before the end of May, with the arrangement apparently holding off discussing anything next for the arrangement until a later date.
Naturally, this prompts the theory that Call of Duty 2020 could be postponed because of issues identified with the coronavirus pandemic, as was recommended in a couple of holes back in March.
Reporting the game later in the year could be because the title is not at the point in its improvement cycle where Treyarch is happy with demonstrating it. This naturally prompts the theory that the 2020 call may be postponed due to problems identified as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as recommended in several holes in March.
The fact that the title is not at the point of the development process may mean that Treyarch is happy to show the game later in the year. It is worthwhile to listen to the studio’s latest calls to duty before making a rash decision about the state of the recording before doing so.
