Very reliable source announced that Black Ops: Gulf War will be the next Call of Duty title.
We’ve just gotten the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023), but like always, there’s bound to be information on the next Call of Duty, whether it’s before, during or after the release of the current instalment. As you know, next year will be Treyarch’s turn, and since their last game being Black Ops: Cold War back in 2020, one would wonder what their next project is.
Well, there’s no need to wait any longer on what the next name will be, because we already have confirmation of that. It has been confirmed that Call of Duty 2024 will be named Black Ops: Gulf War. This was confirmed via a leak from a very reliable source named ‘WindowsCentral. They confirmed that the next Call of Duty will take another step into the history books as it will be set in the Gulf War.
If you know about your history on the iconic war, you may know that it occurred a little over three decades ago and spanned for around half a year; August 2, 1990 – February 28, 1991, to be exact.
WindowsCentral also confirmed is that Activision are exploring the idea of a allowing early access to the returning round-based zombies mode as well as the multiplayer mode, and it’ll be the first time this have happened. If this gets the go ahead, then players would need to pre-order Gulf War, which will have a large pre-order early access, that might even last for weeks. Furthermore, just like Modern Warfare 3 (2023), we’ll be getting remastered maps from the Black Ops series, and we should expect the release of Black Ops: Gulf War to be at winter 2024.
For all of you Warzone players, not to worry, because you’re also getting a piece of the pie as it’ll tie into the next Call of Duty game, more will be specified in the future. If Gulf War is anywhere near the greatness of Cold War, then we’re in for a real treat. And seeing as this will be the first instalment ever to have a four year development cycle, we shouldn’t expect anything less.
