Could Black Ops Gulf War land on Game Pass?
Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War is expected to come through this year in October, and we’re at that time where we’re pretty much looking into the next Call of Duty game. This year, Black Ops Gulf War might be revealed to us earlier than usual. In the last recent years, the latest date that a Call of Duty game was revealed was August 19, 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. And the earliest was from the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare.
And like last week, it’s all but confirmed that Black Ops Gulf War’s reveal with be sometime in June. So, we only have a couple of months to go. But more importantly, it’s widely understood that Black Ops Gulf War might be on Xbox Game Pass. Seeing as Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, it has the license to make such move and it makes a lot of sense for it to be on the service, and thus being the first ever Call of Duty game to be on it, especially as a first day release.
Boy, we tell you, if Black Ops Gulf War does go on Xbox Game Pass, that means that future Call of Duty games will be on it too. This also means that Xbox players won’t have to spend $70-100 a year on Call of Duty games, and therefore no regrets if you end up liking it and having to go through the process of getting a refund.
According to X (previously named Twitter) account, Modern Warfare III informer, IGN stated that we should “expect a launch in October and based on Phil Spencer’s comments, it may go straight into Game Pass. Also, PC players won’t miss out either, as it might also end up on PC Game Pass. And there’s also speculation that the previous Call of Duty games will be on Game Pass. Exciting times lies ahead.
