Batman Beyond might be exclusive to the PlayStation 6, followed by a PC launch
It came to light last year that Rocksteady was developing a new Batman game. Further, early this year, Jason Schreier reported that Rocksteady got approval for a new Batman game. They are, therefore, hard at work on a new Batman game as they must have shown a working prototype and have a plan B in place to get it approved.
Another leaker has just joined the conversation. Despite ambitions for a trilogy, Lunatic Ignus reported that Batman Beyond might be exclusive to the PlayStation 6, followed by a PC launch. And therefore, a PlayStation-exclusive Batman Beyond game will build the groundwork for a trilogy.
By the way, since this game is currently in development, you would think that cross-gen is an option for PS6 and PC. Perhaps Sony, in their pursuit of the most cutting-edge technology for their next Batman game, is trying to get the PS6 exclusive treatment. That’s not really new; I’ve had folks ask why it’s exclusive. Sony is very much in favor of exclusive agreements. It’s likely that this will just be a one-time event.

Additionally, Xbox’s new approach involves releasing games anywhere feasible rather than focusing on exclusivity. They most likely have no intention of fighting for the exclusive right to use Xbox in the future. Phil Spencer has stated his desire for consumers to purchase gear based on its characteristics rather than its exclusives. Now, we’ll see how that operates.
Given Batman’s popularity, it would be intriguing to see a PlayStation-exclusive game featuring the superhero. So, I’m curious about the general response to the question of whether it’s PlayStation exclusive. It doesn’t matter whether it’s exclusive or not; what matters is that a new Batman game is indeed under development.
