Larian Studios is also going to add tons of new content to Baldur’s Gate 3 in early 2025.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of the most successful games of 2023, winning the Game of the Year awards from The Game Awards 2023 and several other online outlets, including GamesCreed’s GOTY 2023. Larian Studios, the game behind this massively successful game, has now decided to make it even better.
While it’s been much anticipated by the fans, Larian Studios has finally revealed that they are planning a big patch release for Baldur’s Gate 3 next year, further adding more content and features to the game. The game is getting 12 new subclasses, one for each of the base classes, new abilities and spells, and a very cool addition like a Shadow Magic Sorcerer who can summon a spectral hound.
Larian Studios is also going to add some of the fan’s most liked subclasses, the Hexblade and the Bladesinger, which is huge news for people who like using casters with swords. However, the subclasses are not the only upcoming updates; they will also get new features, like crossplay and photo mode.
Crossplay means that you can now play with your friends, although the game does require you to register a Larian Account to use this feature. Photomode also seems quite complete, as they are getting a ton of character poses, frames, stickers, and color grading to customize the shots.
Larian Studios didn’t really say anything about the release date for this update, but they did mention that they will be doing a test run in early January 2025, which you can sign up for if you want to try out the new Baldur’s Gate 3’s subclasses and the additional features that are being added.
