Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in early access for a long time and now the fan’s patience has been rewarded.
The Game Awards 2022 had dozens of massive reveals, world premieres and more including titles like Death Stranding 2 and Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon. But there was one game that many fans were hoping would finally get a release date. Baldur’s Gate 3. The isometric RPG from Larian Studios has captured the hearts of many fans around the world even in it’s early access stage.
They recently teased the return of an incredibly popular character in the series in Minsc and Boo and at this Game Awards show, they finally showed off a full official trailer:
The trailer shows off all sorts of aspects of gameplay, cutscenes, companions and more in a game that seems to grow with every trailer. The ambitious title clearly has it’s work cut out for it. In addition to this, the trailer confirmed the return of Minsc (and Boo), the bizarre and vicious ranger from previous Baldur’s Gate acclaim and Jaheira, the half elf fighter/druid. Both of these characters are some of the most popular in the entire series and their returns are undoubtedly exciting.
Even more exciting than that is the reveal of what every Baldur’s Gate 3 fan has been awaiting, the release date. Whilst the date is not inherently specific we now know that Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming in August 2023. Players have been desperate to see this release date and Larian have teased us constantly. Considering also that next week fans will be greeted to another panel from hell, it appears we will get more information regarding the future of Baldur’s Gate 3.
