Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Launched on rival services such as the Epic Games Store when it released in 2020.
After all this time, more Ubisoft games are finally making their long awaited debut on Steam. Famous titles: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions are all coming to Steam on the 6th December this year. This news comes from Eurogamer where a Ubisoft representative stated:
“We’re constantly evaluating how to bring our games to different audiences wherever they are, while providing a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions are among the Ubisoft titles that will be releasing on Steam.”
Ubisoft had halted the release of their titles on Steam intending to release them more similarly to EA and launch on their own PC service and then in a partnership with the Epic Games Store in 2019. Since then many if not all of the most recent Ubisoft releases have not even touched Steam.
Considering this, it is entirely possible that following this December 6th drop that more titles will join the three mentioned here. The release of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla on steam is clever, considering the fact that it’s Last Chapter is set for release in December as well.
