So many players have reached success in Apex Legends Mobile. But it seems that was short-lived.
First-person shooters are a dime a dozen. But very few have the allure of similar games. Apex Legends Mobile, since it’s release, has gained thousands of fans. Regardless of how large the fanbase has gotten, however, it does nothing to save the title from a certain end.
Taking the title offline, I personally find to be an odd decision. The title was only just released on February 2022. Just over a year old and parent developers have decided end the fun. In their exact words, it is “the best decision for players.” With a new season having opened up to coincide with the console version, this doesn’t seem fair to any of the players on Apex Legends Mobile. The console version continues to receive updates, such as the Spellbound Event while the lights get shut down on their mobile sibling.
Additionally, there are players who’ve spent as much as $100 for content. Others even bought the battle pass just last month. In EA’s faq on this major decision, they expressly state that they will not be giving out refunds. If there is anyone seeking to be refunded, it is recommended they request it through Google Play or the Apple Store.
A few users took to Twitter to express their displeasure after receiving the news. Streamer and player of the console title Noko, had this to say in response:
Some players say it is due to the decline in revenue that Apex Legends Mobile was receiving. It that’s true, it would only be right for developers to be forthcoming about it. But, at this juncture, we can only speculate exactly why the decision was made to take the title out back.
What are your thoughts on the issue of Apex Legends Mobile be taken offline?
