The first event for 2023 , The Spellbound Collection, has been revealed and will include stylish new skins and a whole lot more.
The developers of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment, have announced that the first event of the year, The Spellbound Collection, will be coming soon, very soon. This event brings a lot of new things for players to enjoy as well as some old favourites.
This is the first event for Apex Legends season 15. This new season has already introduced plenty of new additions, including the new Legend, Catalyst, as well as adding Broken Moon to the game’s map rotation. However, despite these new additions, it seems that even more content is coming for the battle royale title.
The Spellbound Collection will begin from 10 January and will end on 24 January 2023. During this time, the developers have added over 24 limited-time cosmetic items that will include new skins for some of the game’s Legends. The Legends that will be receiving new skins include Mad Maggie, Vantage, Mirage, and Seer, who will also be receiving a new heirloom called “Showstoppers.” Alongside these cosmetic items will be free items that players can easily acquire through the in-game reward tracker.
However, fans can expect more than just fancy cosmetics because for this event they will also be restoring the Limited Time Mode (LTM), Control. This game mode was introduced back in 2022 and lets players face off in 9v9 matches on many popular POIs in its battle royale maps. This game mode has been featured in many of the game’s past events since its introduction and has since become a fan-favourite.
Alongside all the cosmetics and the returning LTM are some patch notes, which include something that players have been waiting a long time for. In these patch notes, the developers state that from the beginning of The Spellbound Collection event, players will be allowed to play in private matches for them and their friends to participate in. This means that players can now generate tournament codes and host custom matches. Respawn Entertainment also said that they will be hosting a FAQ in the coming days that will go into more detail about these private matches.
From the return of a fan-favourite game mode to the much-demanded private matches, it seems that The Spellbound Collection event will have something for everyone to enjoy.
