Remedy Entertainment has released the PC system requirements for Alan Wake 2.
With it being Halloween season, there are plenty of upcoming spooky titles to look forward to, especially the upcoming survival horror game, Alan Wake 2. The game will be releasing in around a week’s time and the developer behind the game has recently shared the game’s PC system requirements. This highly anticipated sequel comes almost 13 years after the first game was released, to say fans are excited is an understatement and many are dying to see what the next entry has in-store for the cult classic horror game.
While Alan Wake 2 is indeed a sequel, the developers behind the game, Remedy Entertainment have certainly changed things up. While the first Alan Wake game was your more cinematic action-adventure game with horror elements mixed into it, the developers have taken the game’s horror elements and cranked them up to eleven, turning Alan Wake 2 into a fully-fledged horror survival game while still maintaining the original’s storytelling and visuals.
Recently, Remedy Entertainment has shared the PC system requirements for Alan Wake 2 on their numerous social media platforms. These requirements include the minimum requirements as well as recommended and ‘ultra-graphical’ settings. Interestingly enough, the game even has ray tracing spec requirements at low, medium and high settings. The minimum requirements go as follows; 1080p/30fps gaming are an RTX2060/i5-7600K combo or AMD equivalents. 4K gaming requires an RTX 4070 and for ultra, the game requires the RTX 4080.
From what we see, the system requirements for Alan Wake 2 seem quite robust with many of the requirements being similar to what was listed in the updated requirement list for Baldur’s Gate 3. It should be noted that while robust, many gamers have already aired their concerns about the ever-increasing graphical requirements for games.
