The news you all have been waiting for on AEW Fight Forever is finally here.
Attention AEW fans, boy, do we have a surprise for you? It’s been a long time coming, and at one point, it seemed like we’d have to wait longer, but we finally have a release date for the first-ever AEW Game, AEW Fight Forever. AEW Fight Forever’s developer and publisher, THQ Nordic from Vienna, Austria.
Do not confuse this company with THQ, which is a completely different developer who were well known for publishing WWE Smackdown and SmackDown Vs. Raw series – before they declared bankruptcy in 2012-13. Meanwhile, Fight Forever’s developer and creator of the aforementioned franchises, Yuke’s remains and takes their talents to AEW gaming. Nordic, however, acquired all of THQ’s left-over properties from the bankruptcy auctions for $4.9 Million.
AEW Fight Forever has been anticipated to arrive this year, but there has been somewhat of a delay in when exactly we can get our hands on the game. You’ll love to know that it’s actually much sooner than we thought and hit us all by surprise. In fact, AEW Fight Forever will arrive just next month.
Yes, you’ve read that correctly. AEW Games Twitter has confirmed that it will release on June 29, 2023. That’s just a few months after the release of sports entertainment rival WWE’s WWE 2K23. But would it be too soon to assume that AEW Fight Forever will be able to compete with it?
This is probably too early to tell, but one thing’s for sure, you will be able to find out in just a month’s time. AEW Fight Forever will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. And for Xbox players, there were rumours early in the year that the game was going to be released on Xbox Game Pass, but as of now, it doesn’t seem to be the case, and you’ll have to buy it like the rest unfortunately.
