As a gamer, have you ever decided how old you will be until you finally cut ties with gaming? In your 40’s? In your 50’s? In your 60’s maybe? Or maybe you will be just like the majority of us and will fully commit to the gaming world for the rest of your life perhaps? Well, that is very the case for 90 year old Japan native Hamako Mori, who apparently uses video games as a method of “keeping her mind sharp”
According to GamingBible’s Ewan Moore, there was a recent interview with Gamespark. Hamako has been a gamer for almost 40 years. She started gaming from 1981 and one of her first games consoles was Cassette Vision. Just in case you didn’t realise, she is quite the popular figure. Hamako even achieved her status in the Guinness world record as ‘The oldest gaming youtuber’. That’s right, she also has her own YouTube channel which comprises of over nearly half a million subscribers.
She states that her favourite games are Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Dragon Quest, Grand Theft Auto V, Super Mario Brothers, The Elder Scrolls v: Skyrim. She plays these games daily and often times she would spend at least three hours per day. The best thing about all of this is that she is actually a pretty good gamer. Regardless of how long you plan on gaming, you have to admit that this is a very awesome story and Hamako would definitely motivate gamers to continue with the gaming life forever. Plus, you can also use gaming as a way to exercise your mind, just like Hamako.
