When it comes to casual and cozy gaming, dating sim games are among the most popular genres. While The Sims remains at the top of its genre, there are plenty of other games that are just as enjoyable and calming to play. Since there won’t be any The Sims 5, keeping that in mind, I have compiled a list of the five best dating simulation games for you to enjoy in the future.

Select Oblige

Well-known Japanese developer Madosoft has revealed its latest game, Select Oblige, in the dating sim visual novel genre. Shoukei Wakaba wrote the story, and Hiyo Yuzuna designed the character designs and artwork. Ren Sagami, Kanau, Hana Akino, and Yuuka Nanakusa are well-known voice actresses who provide the leads’ voices. Famous musician Faylan performs the theme song.
In Select Oblige, you take on the character of Nagi Fuwano. The majority of the game’s mechanics revolve around reading the on-screen text, which serves as the story’s storyline and dialogue. Character sprites show the audience to whom Nagi is speaking, and background artwork illustrates the environment. You will come across unique event CGs at crucial points in the game, whereby detailed pictures of the scene replace the background and character sprites.
There are four stories in the game, and each one follows a different woman. There are several decision points scattered throughout the game where the action stops for you to make choices. Your wrong choices can cause the story to end too soon. You will have to play the game several times, each time with a new set of choices, to get to the end of each plot.
Taiwan Love Story⁵

Taiwan Love Story ⁵ is an interactive dating sim game. You can’t write a thesis about love in Taiwan without meeting girls from all across the island. You take the role of a senior in college majoring in the humanities, and you meet five women from all across Taiwan at a departmental camping event.
