Having difficulty getting out of the seemingly inescapable chase scene in Silent Hill: The Short Message? We’re here to help.
Silent Hill: The Short Message has finally arrived and was brought to you by Konami. But one might wonder if this is a foresight for the likes of the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake. Anyway, in case you aren’t aware, the game is available and free to download, so you can just go ahead and install that puppy. But if you have been playing, you would’ve progressed through a significant portion of the play, including successfully escaping the monster, known as The Cherry Blossom monster twice, that’s been chasing you on two occasions.
Now, you realize that you have to escape this monster yet again, but this time it’s much different. As you keep wandering around the placement, you might start to think to yourself that you’re in an endless chase scene, you don’t particularly know what to do to get out, and you start to panic. You’re not alone, a lot of players are going through this struggle and has driven some to give up Silent Hill: The Short Message completely. But we won’t allow you to do that because we can help you escape. But before we get to that, let’s discuss what Silent Hill: The Short Message is about.
Silent Hill: The Short Message tells a very important story on depression and suicide. The story also brings attention to the dark side of social media and the effects it can have on people. It’s a first-person mode, and there’s no combat involved. You’re just going around and would need to interact with some interests to progress.
You’re taking on the role of Anita, who lives in an abandoned apartment complex, which is called The Villa – which is located in Germany. As she wakes up, she receives texts from her friend, Maya, who had died due to suicide. Upon trying to gain similar popularity as her late friend, Anita experienced a barrage of online bullying. Plus, whilst on her search for answers, she experiences horrifying flashbacks.
Now, for the chase scene, the reason why you’re not progressing in Silent Hill: The Short Message’s third chase scene is that you haven’t interacted with the photos around the Villa or enough of them. There is a door that has ‘CB’ graffiti on it. This is actually the exit. The door is chained, and each photo you interact with releases a chain. Find all five pictures, interact with them all, all chains are gone, and your exit will become available to use. Unfortunately, you’ll need to go around the Villa and interact with them while being chased.
But not to worry, the third chase scene you’re struggling with is the final one, as you’ve almost completed Silent Hill: The Short Message. We’ve uploaded a video that helps you with the directions and what to interact with in order to escape the monster and the Villa. Keep in mind that the video does have some pauses in between gameplay, so I advise that you fast forward at times too. And at the same time, pause your game to be able to keep up with the steps.
Here are a few tips:
- Don’t try to take on the monster: It cannot be attacked, and once it’s right near you, it’ll kill you instantly. So don’t bother.
- Listen carefully: When you’re near a picture, you may hear a glistening sound that signals where they are.
- Pay attention to Anita’s phone: Every time you interact with a picture, her phone displays images, especially images of the chains being removed. It’s crucial to watch her phone to view the progress.
- Have patience: This isn’t a very quick process; completing this scene should take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete.
