Eleonora’s Poleblade is one the best arcane-blood loss weapons in all of Elden Ring.
Elenora’s Poleblade is discovered via Yura, Hunter of Bloody Fingers questline. Yura is an interesting NPC in Elden Ring. Whilst much of Elden Ring’s narrative is still somewhat cryptic, many of the NPC’s are far ‘easier to read’. FromSoftware quite clearly wanted to make players connect with the NPC’s far easier than any previous title.
Yura’s questline is one of the more simple in all of Elden Ring. Those who wish to see the first part of the quest should look on the guide on how to get Reduvia as the quest correlates to that.
Here however, we will cover the second and third parts of the questline, where you will encounter two more of the bloody fingers.
Following the death of Bloody Finger Nerijus, players should head further north along that river until you find yourself underneath a large block. Yura will be stood beneath it and will speak to you. Exhaust all of his dialogue, which will then allow you to access the next part of his questline.
Players should now head towards the Main Academy gate, if you want to know how to get inside Raya Lucaria, you can find this in our guide on the Grand Lift of Dectus, specifically on the Academy Glintstone Key.
Once you reach this area, players should make a sharp right turn past the lost grace site and out onto the broken bridge. Do not activate the the seal and instead march past it and in doing so you will find a red symbol on the floor. Activate this symbol and you will be prompted to join Yura in an invasion.
You will be transported to ‘another world’ where you will assist Yura in taking on another Bloody Finger, the Ravenmount Assassin. The fight should not be too difficult, the assassin has one leaping attack which does significant damage, but overall it should be a simplistic fight considering the circumstances.
Following the fight, Yura will be found close by, muttering to himself. Speak to him and once again exhaust all of his dialogue and you are now so close to getting Eleonora’s Poleblade. If you have not reached the Altus plateau yet, then checking out our guide for the Grand Lift of Dectus may provide you some assistance.
Players shall head to the Altus Plateau and specifically to the Second Church of Marika. Upon your arrival, you should be wary of the dangerous dogs that stalk outside of the church, their attacks cause blood-loss and can do massive damage if you are lambasted by them.
As you enter the second church, you will see the results of a fight. Yura, Hunter of the Bloody Fingers lies bleeding on the ground. Talk to him where he will lament and upon his dialogue ending, he will die allowing you to pick up the Nagakiba, a Katana.
Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger will soon invade and she is who you must kill to gain access to her weapon. Now she can be a tough fight. Her weapon gives her access to various blood loss and abilities and she also utilises various Dragon Communion spells, meaning that players should be very cautious in their combat with her.
She will on occasion spam her Dragon Roar which can kill you very quickly if you stay too close. Depending on your build you may be able to eliminate her fairly easily. If you did not kill the dogs prior to entering the church, do not leave as the dogs will aggro on you and that is going to make an already difficult fight near impossible.
Once Eleonora is defeated, you will get her poleblade.
The Weapon is excellent and one of the best weapons in Elden Ring, prior to the slew of recent updates, the weapon was broken… and not in a good way. Following the fix, Eleonora’s Poleblade is arguably the best arcane weapon in all of Elden Ring.
